Action

Camarilla set about creating multiple media briefing opportunities with Walesonline, BBC and ITV Wales, providing an opportunity for journalists to try the e-scooter for themselves and learn about the technology involved ie the technology and hardware being used by GOiA is of the highest specification and will be app based, utilising docking stations and GPS control and monitoring. This will mean robust, best in class e-scooters can be located using the app, booked, used, and then docked again.

Briefings were also created with leading Welsh politicians such as Member for the Gower and Finance Minister, Rebecca Evans, who experienced the e-scooter and proclaimed her support via social media. Reinforcing this were meetings with local authorities including Cardiff, Vale of Glamorgan and Rhondda Cynon Taf, giving them an opportunity to try the e-scooter for themselves and to start discussing routes on which they could be used.
