StreetGames Wales
A local media relations campaign with a national UK charity that helped support over 2,000 children.
Brief
Camarilla helped raise awareness of a unique challenge undertaken by Paul Roberts, Head of StreetGames Wales and a colleague, who ran the length of Wales from Colwyn Bay to Cardiff.
The feat was in aid of raising money for a multi-sport festival at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, an event attended by over 2,000 young people from areas of deprivation across Wales.

Action
To increase awareness of the challenge that Paul Roberts undertook, we created bespoke regional press releases’ aimed at different publications throughout Wales to be issued during the time that Paul would be running through that area.
Coverage appeared on Wales Online as well as Wales on Sunday and the North Wales Pioneeer.
Pre-run, we also arranged for Paul Roberts to be interviewed on BBC Radio Wales by Wynne Evans where Paul was given the chance to explain what he aims to achieve and the reasoning behind it.

Results
The festival of sport took place at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff and provided free sporting opportunities to 2,000 young people whom otherwise wouldn’t have had the chance.
Thanks to our work, StreetGames was able to promote its event through print and radio media, and raise its profile with key Welsh publications such as Wales Online, Wales on Sunday, North Wales Pioneer and BBC Radio Wales.
